Good luck, and take the time to take care of yourself!
1. Book your workouts ahead of time.
I sign up for my fitness classes a few days in advance. Because it’s already planned, and because there’s a cancellation fee, it keeps me motivated to show up. Getting there is half the battle! – Tennille
2. Hydrate before coffee.
Every morning, I first fill my coffee cup with water. I make sure I drink all of the water before I have any coffee. – Amy
3. Set the mood.
At night, I dim the lights and curl up with my book and a cup of tea. It signals to my body that it’s the end of the day. – Sydney
4. Walk, walk, walk.
I try to walk an hour every day, rain or shine, while listening to my favourite podcasts. – Bethany
5. Wash away the day.
One of my favourite ways to take care of myself is by ending the day with a long, hot bath with bubbles and a good book. It helps me slow down, relax, and get a better night’s sleep. – Anna
6. Find healthy snack alternatives.
Instead of eating chips or other empty calories, I make roasted veggies (broccoli, carrots, zucchini) as a replacement. They’re delicious if they’re spiced correctly! – Nick
7. “Be a goldfish.”
I watch Ted Lasso highlights on YouTube. It puts me in a good headspace. The clips are always positive and bring me joy–makes me believe anything is possible. – David
8. Read a book.
I make sure I read every night to wind my brain down. – Michael
9. Find an activity you love.
Keeping fit won’t feel like work when you’re having fun! Find an activity or sport that you love, and you’ll naturally want to keep going and challenging yourself. – Amanda
10. Surround yourself with supportive people.
It makes a world of difference to your mental health when you are surrounded by people who are kind, motivated, and care about you as a person! – The entire InsureCPA office
