InsureCPA is pleased to announce provincial bursaries for CPA candidates balancing school, work, life and family.

The CPA PEP Program is a challenge.

And if you’re caring for loved ones at the same time, being a CPA candidate might seem downright impossible.

That’s why we want to make life a little bit easier for CPA candidates who are also mothers, fathers, guardians and caregivers. InsureCPA is pleased to announce financial assistance through bursaries, scholarships and awards within British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

“With these bursaries, we want to remind CPA candidates that they’re not alone,” says InsureCPA CEO David Filewich, CPA.

“I’m grateful for the colleagues, employers and other CPAs who guided me through my candidacy. By creating these bursaries, we want to provide that same sense of community to the next generation of CPAs.”

About the Bursaries

The bursaries, valued between $1,500 and $2,500 each, provide eligible candidates with funding to help ease the challenges of balancing education, work, and caregiving responsibilities. The support is designed to reduce financial barriers that may impact academic progress. Funds can be used towards expenses or related supports that make managing both family and professional studies more achievable.

Eligibility

Bursaries will be available in each province, with varying award amounts and application deadlines.

Eligibility also varies, but applicants must demonstrate the following general criteria:

  • Be a registered CPA PEP candidate in good standing.
  • Reside within the province where the scholarship/bursary is being offered (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba).
  • Demonstrate satisfactory academic standing.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with families, or those who are the primary caregiver for at least one dependent (childe, spouse, parent, or other).

How to Apply

Each provincial CPA body will post application information and deadlines on their respective websites. Please continue to check these links for more information.
